What Is a UAE Tax Residency Certificate?
A UAE Tax Residency Certificate (TRC), also called a Tax Domicile Certificate, is an official document issued by the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA). It proves that you or your company are a tax resident of the UAE and entitled to benefits under the UAE’s double taxation avoidance agreements (DTAs).
It is widely used by individuals and businesses to claim treaty benefits in foreign jurisdictions — reducing or eliminating withholding taxes on dividends, royalties, and service fees paid from abroad.
